When performing a comprehensive evaluation, we will review your audiogram. The audiogram is a graphical display of the results from your hearing test. The two main components that are graphed are frequency and intensity. These results are displayed for each ear.

During the test, the Sonus® Hearing Care Professional determines the softest sound you can hear at each specific frequency. Then, they will measure intensity. Intensity is measured in decibels (dB). The intensity relates to how loud or soft a sound is. Each horizontal line represents a different intensity level. The softest sounds are at the top of the chart and the loudest sounds at the bottom. Each mark on their hearing test represents the softest sounds you can hear.

The Sonus Hearing Care Professional will measure each ear separately to determine the extent of your hearing deficiency, if any, then determine what the next easy steps to take are to get you hearing better.
